Our tidal crappie will begin to get their tuxedo skins soon........we are roughly a week to ten days ahead of last year as it relates to water temps..........

Nice to have all those options. Our plan B is to put the boats back on the truck and go stand shoulder to shoulder with the people below the dam slinging shad darts. I really don't think it will come to that.

Thanks Tooty........appreciate it Andy......been a very busy work week but I'm very eager to see this rain get out of here and see where the winds are overnight.....determines water level of the possible creeks......I'm down to three possibilities after reviewing detailed log entries from the last two seasons.....each location presents back-ups depending on wind direction provided it's not from the Northeast........overall it doesn't matter because this fella will be on the water somewhere looking for a panfish......LOL

Good luck in whatever creek you are hitting up there in AlberWorld. I hope we both strike NC panfish gold.

PRETTY crappie pic Jeffrey ............

Good luck on Wiggins......pretty place......our waters have warmed into the lower 50s so I'm excited......I struck crappie gold one year ago tomorrow as almost overnight the fish pushed into two to four feet of water and were starving......got a bucket of live grass shrimp and minnows......a few wigglers to doodle-sock for gills.......it's quickly approaching my time of the year......

I am headed in your direction but only to Wilson on Sunday looking for some Contentnea crappie in Wiggins Mill. Might look for a few sea run shad below the dam if we aren't too rushed in the afternoon.
