The Boys got occupied with some toys so Papa caught a 10.5 inch Banded Bull
The stinger held up well to these big gills but a snapping turtle forced an early retirement as he stripped all the material off the hook shaft......Made the kids happy but turtles are usually no good for terminal tackle, especially a snapping turtle! LOL

We've got a little Octoberfest Kids Celebration in the community next Saturday afternoon so I'm hopeful all the kids will get to feel one of these guys tug on the old Zebco.....No management but plenty of food so these fish are getting chunky....

I wanted to hand one of my grandsons the pole when I saw this big gill rolling on the surface....fortunately I was able to get them each a 10" gill today so it turned out very good!
