Notice the bleeding tail on this Spawning Monarch......was able to grab this shot before he started changing colors almost instantly out of the water......

Just a spin off of the true Florida Strain from what I can gather........I never paid real close attention to the differences that have been pointed out by the folks in the know ........my belief is the fish have adapted especially well in the brackish tidal waters of the Carolinas and extreme Southeastern Virginia...............these waters are very tannic compared to the rest of the state........

Can't get over how the gills look where you fish Jeffery. I never saw anything like that where I fished in the central part of the state. Is it the color of the water or a different strain of fish? No matter the reason it is a Beautiful fish....
