I most often tip 1/32 ounce jigs with live minnows for the tidal crappie bite.......today I caught several bigger gills on minnow tipped jigs........

I like the folks that take good care of us fishermen......I paid for 3 dozen minnows and at a glance there may be a hundred in this picture........things like taking back the ones I don't use has served me well over the years.....it's a nice gesture in an otherwise greedy world in many cases.......another reason I like fishing so much......the roots are still there!

Some of my larger gills yesterday(9" Class) took minnow tipped 1/32 ounce jigs........why I insist on fishing larger baits as the water temps climb.....9 to 12 inch class gills can easily take a 1/32 ounce bait and it eliminates battling with low end fish.......
