Do you love big bluegill?
Now that the Full Snow moon is here, I can count down til the Full Moon in March, this year on 3/7/2023….this is exciting for me because it has meant the arrival of
shallow panfish on the Albemarle 9 out of the last 10 years in my area….

You too Jeff ! Thanks! Going Batty here!
I hope you guys have a good spring John…..I know you try to ice fish when your temperatures allow……I’ve only seen skim ice one time this season during a polar vortex….our surface temperatures have stayed above 50 most of this winter which will bring fish shallow with our longer sunny days…..the crappie I target in the winter in two twenty foot holes have never collected in these holes, just an occasional roaming fish…..
Mild Winter for the most part up here in NJ. Though we did have two days of freezing temps and below zero weather for two days yesterday and the Day before. Today its shooting up to 35-46 degrees. Insane. I think or at least hope for an early shallow appearance of Fish in March. Thats what has happened in Mild Winters in years past when there was no freezing over of the Lakes I fish.
