@ Bruce, thanks, she was sure fun to catch...and release.

@ David its made by excaliber. instead of a chamber full of small bbs it only has one larger one. it gives you a slightly more subtle presentation. cotton cordell made one about 20 years ago but those are hard to find. rapala makes one also called the clackin rap but im not as fond of that one. the excliber is my favorite.

One Knocker? Dont think I've heard of those....

But red back fading to yellow I can duplicate - I like to finish my own lures. I think there may be one of those in my tackle box this season.

Temps in the low 60's will start the bass moving into the shallows, for sure. Good that you took advantage of that. We should see the typical draw back to deeper water this week, as the South has been seeing low temps and now really high, clear skies. The fish will dodge back to their hideys for a while, I expect.

That is just a truly spectacular fish.  Way to go, buddy.  Our weather isn't even allowing me to fish, so I'm just sitting here staring at this beauty....

thanks guys. Jim, i caught her yesterday, in a farm pond in middle GA. about 5:30pm...i thin the temp was mid to high 50s and the water temp is low 60s due to the warm weather weve had here. she bit a one knocker lipless crankbait i was rippin off the back side of a shallow grass bed i spotted bass chasing on. she was the biggest out of 36 fish. a couple 8s and several 5-6s. oh the bait is red on top and fades to yellow.

That is a giant! Any details? Time of year, bait, general location, how you caught this huge bass?

Congrats!

Good luck to you Tomas....it looks like we're going to be socked in with cold front conditions this weekend in Coastal N.C., so I will just have to continue to dream and prepare......Looking forward to the time change to extend our daylight in the evening!
