I don't know what it really imitates Leo but the Gills in a slower water run just downstream from a dam chute open and spilling water is where they were jumping on it . I caught about 5 fish before switching to the Grasshopper . The spinning rod was hotter than the fly rod today as fewer fish would come to top midday .

So, does the small popper acts as a surface bug, like the drowning bee or baitfish of somekind? BG are getting crazy with surface bites all over the place.
