Do you love big bluegill?
rising temps and big gills
with temps rising the gills are getting more cooperative but still hanging a little deep with the perch

Very nice perch. Is that a big male? Doesn't quite have that full-bodied dynamic of the female jumbos.
We have caught large males that actually had bigger fillets than comparable females that out-weighed them.

thank you Slip Sinker!! i was in 16 to 20 feet of water, gills were deeper with the perch during the day and moved shallower toward dusk. gill bite was kinda like a walleye bite tonight
