Rex - I havve used the same thing and it works ok.... I think better for natural fur . I use a tupper like container and canned air. Just poke some holes in the lid and one for the canned air and creat a vortex .
I prefer using the old Mr Coffe bean grinder it lets me make more precise colors is small batches.
GOTTTTTTTTTTTTA GET THIS STUFF IN BULK IN CASE YOU STOP MAKING IT RICK!!!!!!!!!!! CAN'T FIND THIS COLOR OF DUBBING ANYWERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW MUCH IS A 55 GALLON DRUM RICK? LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOL
Rick, I've been watching some of the clips on youtube on making dubbing with an air compressor and a plastic bottle as a mixer. Think I may have to give it a try. Really like the color of this stuff. Thanks for sharing this idea.
GIVE ME A CALL RICK LOST YOUR NUMBER
Yep you never know do ya Tooty - as soon as you find something good they quit making it. Not me but the color of yarns I used.......
Rick must have spent a heck of a time combing the yarn into its original strands. I tried that a few times, using the dog comb, and man, it took hours to straightening them out, soak the crap out of them, and have them enough curing time to ensure my body parts don't turn into the same color as the coloring agent I'm using. Crazy!
HEY LEO yup can't wait to try this stuff this evening and may post a pic later if it works out good and then will order a 55 gallon drum of this stuff from good ole RICK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woah! Nice one Rick. Imagine Tooty's mouth and teeth after he licks this stuff during the making of his flies.
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHANKS RICK AND CAN'T WAIT TO TRY IT OUT AND SEE HOW IT DUBBS UP!!!!!! I APPRECIATE your effort on this and look forward to some more in different colors if it ties up good. On to the other colors later ..................
Rex no Dye - I used 4 part yellow to 1 part green Red Heart Worsted Yarn from Walmart. The Highliter was just to show the true color of what I made - some time photos change images.
