Do you love big bluegill?

Caught nine in one spot but interestingly enough the first one caught was the biggest which is the one pictured…..

Thanks Joe Fish…..my father got me hooked on this species affectionately known as the “goggle-eyed perch” in my birth state of Louisiana……we would fish the salt marsh canals with live grass shrimp under a float and you would get a strike every cast for hours….I’ve never matched the success we experienced back then but I’m very grateful for the memories including the fish fries…..
