Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Fish were near bottom in 8 to 10 feet of water....no deep holes where I fished today.....I was trying to get away from the stained water but it has impacted all waterways in the last month........over a foot of rain in December......

Mid winter crappie...can't complain!

Comment by Jeffrey D. Abney on January 1, 2014 at 11:17am

Thanks Tooty and Vince....we have been rather mild so far this winter so I can't complain if we actually get a little winter weather.......only thing slowing us down here is stained creeks and rivers.......you can still cathc some fish it's just a tougher bite......but hey a challenge is good now and then.....

Good ones, Jeffrey! I think most of that storm is heading NE of us, but colder temps are on the horizon. They are calling for temps in the upper 20's by Friday night here in Georgia.
