I never got a smallie on my fly rod. The way them things don't know how to quit I think would translate to be a great experience on the fly rod.

Thanks very much Steve . Gonna try a beaded  leech pattern today at another river hoping to get some more fly rod Smallies . Such an intense fish !

Got a pic of Dicks Gillie worm, Carl? Thinking about next time using one of Dicks Crayfish ties he gave me.

I want to try another local River also.

Thanks Tooty, a small accomplishment for me but a first . It needs to be said though that Burke /crème plastic Hellgrammite is in a tree branch now.
