Only 11 Crappie and a Couple Small Bass......3/29/2015
After a great 28th wedding anniversary celebration Friday night and Saturday with my dear wife........she kicked me out late today under chilly bluebird skies but it was a really rough trip.......First hint was water down several feet and stained from decent heavy rains......then registered 48 degrees on the depth finder.....fish were back in the creek channel and the gills I located earlier this week had pulled out....looks better next week..........

Thanks guys for the anniversary well wishes......I waited until after lunch yesterday hoping the March sun would warm some of the shallows but 48 degrees was the highest I could find, couple that with significantly low water and the northern Albemarle was in near turmoil Sunday.....it will improve with rising temps looking out in the ten day.......that's exciting as we are now two weeks behind the early run we were blessed with last season when the bulk of the tidal crappie were shallow by 3/14/2014.....2015 is looking more like 2013 when the Spring push occurred on 4/4/2013........fish when you can and you to will be rewarded very soon........I'm pacing and waiting impatiently so I'm a bad example!

HEY BILL AND JEFFREY - THIS YEAR MARKS 37 YEARS FOR US IN JULY THIS YEAR.... Yup a good woman I"m married to for sure. She has put up with crankiness on a daily basis till I retired 13 years ago in August this year . I have an occasional set back like when I got dentures last week . Oh well it wasn't ss bad as expected I guess and tried to treat her good putting up me and everything......

Congrats on your 28th anniversary Jeffery, that speaks volumes about a couple's character, especially in these trying times. The missus and I will be working on our 24th come Sept. ... and how that woman has put up w/ me all these years is beyond me:-). Sounds like you managed to pretty well today with the tough conditions, and only fishing part of the, especially if the other 10 Crappie were as nice as that one.
