Yep he's lean alright. I did'nt measure but I'd guess 16-17" maybe 2lb, if he was well fed should have been a 3-4lbs. This lake is a clearwater unfertile sandhill lake with forage thats limited to insects, minnows and small bream No shad. Great Bluegill/Coppernose lake but the Bass while numerous are very long and lean. You'd think with a mouth like that they would fatten on up :( When the water levels where up and boats could get in shiner fishermen took alot of trophy Bass from this lake........it's a prime example of a mismanaged bass lake now. The FWC has made several lakes in the Ocala Forest catch and release or slot limit lakes, I wish they would add this one to the list.
