No problem Vince.......I do three cheers in the boat when I see an 11" gill.......especially after a great fight like this guy offered.....
11" is just great!
Thanks for the info Jeffrey. The subdivision pond I fish that has hybrids in it has fish with the little red spots on their tails.
Hard to believe that little mouth can eat enough to grow such a big fish.
Prehistoric Gills from the dark waters....
Can't wait to return to Beaver Creek this weekend.....Quality Gills and Fliers!
I believe it's called "Red Sore" disease Vince......I've read quite a few of the studies and it mainly strikes gamefish populations like bluegill and crappie.....When the fish fans and works the beds, he naturally knocks off some scales and tears his fins up in the process....Aquatic bacteria take advantage thus the red patches or blood spots...All studies say fish are safe for consumption......
Does anyone know what that red is on his tail? I caught a couple yesterday with the same looking thing on the tails. Great one Jeffrey!
Pink never works...we all know that!
jus kiddin!
Appreciate that Tooty....looking forward to the bigger ones and the pink will be a real winner I'm sure......
