I thought it was too big myself, but I watched a shellcracker take the whole tail in her mouth..  the only thing that stopped it was the big 2/0 wide gap hook on the grub!

I'll be using trap hooks alot more often now, when I use senkos and fluke, I noticed the nice redears were all over em, but they would only bite the very end of the lure..  This will ensure I get them.   >=D   I havent had an opportunity to use this yet, but I'll see the results tomorrow evening =]

I fish em weightless, just toss it out, let it sink down, give a few twitches until I get a bump, then I keep slow-rolling it in until I get a follower, then I give an abrupt pause, and they generally engulf the whole tail.

Now that's a twist! Looks a little big for red ears, but what do I know?

Do you do well on this presentation? How do you fish it?
