The biggest seed I molded here is 11.5-inches with an unconfirmed weight of 1lb. 13ozs., caught in Michigan. Far from the world record. Last October a 12.5-inch - 2lb. 15oz. Pumpkinseed was caught in Michigan. South Carolina has a state record of 2lbs. 4ozs.
Though rare, they can get big!
