...Nice catch John!... especially with bait casting equipment from shore!
Keith ,I generally go with 10 and 12 lb. test with medium action rods but this small reel 8# test mono tube presentation worked into the face of the wind and 50 degree or a bit higher water temp . It was what was on the reel that i bought for 10 bucks at a garage sale .That appeals to me and my fishing wallet .
Sounds like a formidable set up for LMB. Nice fish too.
Comfortable for the most part , Carl .The feet got a little cold in the wading boots though because I forgot to wear thicker socks.
Jeffrey ,was hoping to see some Crappie and Pickerel today .I'll have to check back on this spot.
BY THE WAY JOHN;; THE TEMP GOT UP TO 70 HERE TODAY;; STARTED OFF THIS MORNING IN THE 30;S !! LOL
Thanks......I saw as low as 55 today in places that had been 67 to 69 last week.........normal swing for these late winter/early spring cold fronts........55 is a great water temp for shallow crappie if it settles out without the big ups and downs......
REAL NICE BASS JOHN;; BUT BUDDY;; YOU LOOK A BIT COLD !!!
48-52 degrees is what I'm getting .Thought it would register higher .
Nice bass John......how's your weather/water temps?
