March 1 thaw

Milder temperatures have finally allowed most of the ice around here to thaw. Nearly all my ice fishing sessions only landed me a single fish; but I do see the signs of spring. My last two sessions yielded first, 2, then 6 fish, and they are going from very small to mid sized. I could see lots of young baitfish, and just followed the food pyramid. Used my son's Bass Pro shops 'Tiny Lite' spinning reel combo. The increased sensitivity worked well for the still slow moving Bluegill.
