I totally agree with you Chris about Skinner, but I have "heard" that the giant BGs are coming from the "No-Fishing" boat dock....  I wish they would allow float tubing there.

i know perris is your guys' lake but i think you really should look into fishing lake skinner if your into catching very large gills. i know there still are big gills at perris but lake skinner is in a league of it's own when it comes to jumbo gills. just wanted to toss the info your way

Clearly cutting-edge bluegilling in such deep water with such tiny jigs and light line. Amazing story and sensational fish!

This sow came out of 35 FOW, surface temp was 75*F. The females are gorging on insect larva off of the bottom and shad. You can see her eyes bugged out from coming up so fast, unfortunately we couldn't revive her. They also dump everything coming up from the deep.

 

Andrew broke off a big fish when we pulled up – betting it was a BG. We have been getting a lot of break offs in this area.

 

Next week should really be exciting if we can find the transitional fish…
