Ahead of The Cold Front on the Allen Morgan Pink Mantis...3/23/2014

This was the break out trip for the 1/32 ounce pink mantis jig created this winter by Allen Morgan.....I also have an olive version that I can't wait to fish.....just need to get these last few winter storms out of here and things will pick up big time........

We are experiencing very similar conditions to last year late Winter/early Spring........I was dodging pesky winter fronts into April last year.....I broke the ice on Allen Morgan's mantis jig creations on the 23rd of March last season........proved to be a great bait...........Fish caught suspended late Monday may in fact be a bit deeper late week after a cold front and the subsequent cold nights......I love to fish first light but often the afternoon out produces the morning bite during big temperature swings.......

The Pink Mantis Jigs were hot early Spring on multiple species.......here's a classic Albemarle pair......

Glad you're getting some mantis jigs ready Allen......I could do without the weather but what can you do......tomorrow is a washout but maybe we can get it out of here by Wednesday........

I think that same system that's bearing down on you Jeff just blew through here.  Lots of wind, no moisture.

I just tied up 5 of the Pink Mantis jigs, going to do some Olives later on after dinner.

allen;;  can I be of any help to you buddy;;  making what you lost??

Jeff, I did have a few for personal use.  Lost them over the weekend when I left my tacklebag laying on the riverbank, and didn't realize it until 24 hours later.

You need me to send you a few Allen.....LOL.....surely the man behind the jig should have a couple for his disposal! Working great and the best lies ahead for these jigs......the olive has a lot of potential too!

Those are some great-looking fish!

I've got to tie up a few of these for "personal use".  LOL.  All but one of the ones I had were in my tackle bag when I lost it at the river on Friday.
