Like To Check The Catch For Their Forage......
This mess of crappie included 20 fish between 11 and 14 inches.........every crappie had at least one of these two to three inch gills in their stomach.......about the size of a standard adult fork as pictured.........The largest fish actually had four of these plus a few more that were further along........

Makes sense that the minnow tipped jigs are doing so well right now............I've got a few attractant "beads" on my long poles right now as well........I read in an article that Yellow Perch were attracted to things like colored flags on anchor ropes and several other things........jury still out for me but it didn't hurt the crappie bite......
