Here's a nice picture of Waccamaw Mark.....I have only fished it once since 2000......I had my boat in tow on the way to Santee Cooper in South Carolina....

i agree with that amen i only hunt occasionally for squirrel and thats a big occasionally it's so crazy around here with all the hunt clubs and such i much rather wet a line

I've fished Sapony Creek near Sharpsburg, N.C. just south of Rocky Mount......I was fortunate growing up in Louisiana I could hunt and kill an eight squirrel limit of all black and red Fox Squirrels....Great memories...I don't hunt anymore but that would help with the winter doldrums! I hope we can maintain public access to water better than land...you've just about got to be a member of a hunting club to go anymore......

i have family in nags head and rocky mount my tarheel roots run deep i was born im virginia but my grandma was from north carolina god rest her soul and i always try to visit there every year or more often when i get the chance and there are so many places that i wanna fish down there and i'd love to hunt fox squirrels in the sandhills once

Lake Waccamaw is beautiful....I have caught bluegill there but not since 2007.....If I go that far I usually push on to the Santee Cooper lakes in South Carolina! I live less than an hour from the Outer Banks and I only go in the Winter.....it's getting more and more chaotic every Summer down there.....tourism is doing great......I like to tent camp on the ocean at least one weekend a year so I hit one of the Camp Grounds and get a fix! Sometimes the Blue Crabbing Rodeo on Pea Island in June......
