Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I am headed over there this Saturday afternoon (2015-01-31) with a primary purpose of doing some testing on my in progress wood/fiberglass kayak build. It will be a sit on top and right now it looks like a canoe with standpipes in the floor. I will put foam blocks in somewhat loosely to sit at the proper height, make sure the drains are plenty tall enough and it feels stable. I also need to confirm it paddles okay sitting where I think the seat should be. I am building from good plans so it should go smoothly and I will have some time to paddle around and do a little fishing...

It's a gravel road; his driveway actually.

Jeffrey, that looks like a concrete dam, not a road.  But there does appear to be a nice shallow place going out to deeper water.

So I guess photos show up as soon as they are uploaded. Sort of surprised to see a comment already.

I don't really know the lay of the lake. It is a pretty good assumption that I will have time to explore. I hate to think about the possibility that the boat is unstable or drains aren't high enough (they are higher than what the plan calls for right now; I want to have to grind them back.
