Passed up an incredible Crappie bite today to hit some of my favorite docks on Spice Island......only had to fish three total to reach 61 gills for the day.....letting the live grass shrimp bump the pilings and hang tight.....gills were packed in and the nice fish were feeding too......

One year ago the gill bite was big on Spice Island Docks.......tipped some 1/100th jigs with a live grass shrimp which will naturally try to attach themselves to the pilings and the fish naturally work the structure for food...........

Indeed we are Jim......I had put pressure on myself to reach 5,000 when it's a transparent goal.......I was actually more excited when I set the hook early on this morning and was met with some pole bending drama including the line slicing through the water in tight circles which can only be big gill! I was actually side arming the bait up under the dock and using a very small indicator to see the bites.......wasn't worried about floating the bait with the fish being aggressive.....
