A Solid 12.5 Inch Calico Crappie.......7/10/2015
Most of today's 41 crappie took Steve Wilson's white shrimp with a live minnow tipped......strong falling wind tide behind a frontal boundary......fish were at intermediate depths of 4 to 7 feet attached to cover.....

Thanks Carl........I thought I had located some mid summer slabs but the majority of the fish yesterday afternoon were 9 to 11 inches.......so I boxed a limit for a fresh crappie fry........Steve's white shrimp worked well yesterday as this region has an abundance of native grass and white shrimp.................
