Zach, the bass was caught several years ago - I am going through my photos taken before I got a digital camera and came across it. I hope to get a good negative and slide scanner soon so the quality will be better.

He'd eat any bluegill in the neighborhood--even big bluegill!

yeah, Bruce - that is the connection! I wouldn't want to be a bluegill who found itself swimming into this guy's lair. Best case scenario: accidently swim into it's maw and swim out quickly before it wakes up!

Amen, brother - probably a good 18-19+ lbs. when first caught! It was weighed later.
