Thanks again John.....although we reached 50 we might have trouble remaining there as we are now promised with 20s on Friday......Go figure........but I go when I can an try to solve the puzzle on that day .......I was actually looking for early crappie shallow when the active perch bite started......crappie appear to be hesitant for now but it won't be long as my February calendar is quickly running out of days..........good luck when you get out John....

Above 50 ! I got a ways to go around here for that to happen . Good job Jeffrey!

Thanks John.....The Yellow Perch spawn is in full swing in coastal North Carolina with every male down to four inches shooting milk as they enter the boat after hook set......more males than females on this trip but a beetle spin or cricket spin could be deadly right now on shallow cover........the perch were staged waiting on colder weather but it never came so they immediately started spawning in big numbers with our steadily rising water temps to above 50 now on this waterway.........only problem now the early arriving crappie and fliers will feed heavily on their eggs but Mother Nature has a plan.......
