The usual story: I catch more fish with less effort pretty much anywhere I go than I do in California :p It would be awesome of we had yellow perch here. They're aggressive and taste great. I was fishing #6 Gamakatsu circle hooks and more often than not, those perch swallowed them in their haste to get the bait. Even the trout were about 50/50 on swallowing the circle hook. Probably trying to beat the perch to the bait or something.
Very pleased with the Gamakatsu hooks. Those things are _sharp_!
