Yes,I do most of my fishing in open water.We have an abundance of it here.I have a few 8ft.
rods but most are 9ft..

What sort of waters do you fish? I'm I right to assume they are generally open and not what might be called 'overgrown?'
I cannot see me whipping a ten footer along the black water banks of the South Edisto River. LOL!

I like it alot,it's a rod I won last year.It was built by our local outdoor writer.It's really a stealhead rod,but I'm not a stealhead fisherman.
