I agree with selective harvesting Jim. Seen too many deceptive fishers over harvest and claim to CPR. I think the limited waters out here in SoCal get a lot more pressure than most of the US. Thnx
No worries dick - thnx again
Thanks LedHed and believe me I understand enough said have continued good fishin.......
Sounds like a great, and exacting, tactic Sonny.
I fully understand the need to be 'quiet' on some fronts of the bluegill fishing world. We have people in my area that simply will not throw a fish back and if they can get away with it they always exceed the daily limit.
I keep fish from time to time, but it is always determined by the condition of the fishery, not the desire to fill the freezer. Some waters can tolerate modest harvest and some can't tolerate any. Every water body is different and wise selective harvest is paramount for future angling success.
Bravo for you, Sonny...good call! Great fish!
We are trolling Bellyspinners, Chubs, and sometimes Autos. Using jigs between 1/24th and 1/48th with # 8sickle hooks. Don't really want to talk about where and trolling speed. Got way too many meateaters & wannabees out here.
What we are doing is controlling the jig depth with the jig weight and speed of the boat.
tell me to sonny!!!
Sonny how you fishing this jig if you don't mind me asking.
