Life is short ........make it sweet! we had similar weather in 2015.........
The creek where these gills were caught last December has had very low oxygen since the floods in October.........hoping they rebound soon........fishing always rewarding and just a couple miles from the house too....lol
The hardest winter we've had since 1999 only gave us 3/4 to 1 inch of ice on local creeks........normally a few weeks of 1/4 skim is all we get and I often bust through it to wet a line...........
looks like it warmed up quick and the fishing...
our frosty morning left us with an inch of ice...lol
Thanks Charles and Carl.......the scuttlebutt around here often tells the story of much better fishing years ago and if that was the case it would be interesting.......I would agree on a few locations but not in general.......Back Bay in extreme southeastern Virginia has not made it back to where it once was but I hold out hope that it may. Some of the heaviest Bluegill stringers I ever saw in person..........
hoping you have a great time; going for more of those great quality blue gills Jeffery !!
WOW!!
