You're right, Tony! I already spread a 50-lb. bag of fescue all around the pond when it was dug back in June, and it's coming up now in many places, but I need to put a couple or few more bags out for sure.
You're right, Dick - it was dug so that 80% or more of it will be four feet or less, mostly less, so as to facilitate seining. There's an area of 1/10 or 2/10 of an acre down by the dam that's around eight or nine feet deep, which will serve as the winter refuge for the fish, since this pond was dug for bluegill that came straight from the panhandle in Florida.
Great looking pond. I'm assuming if it's a hatchery pond its fairly shallow.
