HEY JEFFREY, I HAVE a customer that uses my small spiders through the ice all the time with spit shot and tipped in winter here. Never tried it myself because I'm down in the shop when hard water arrives here!!!!!

Going small was the trick yesterday in 43 degree water....I fished a couple 1.5 to 2 inch jigs/spoons and didn't even have a smell....Little sponge spider is truly a micro bait....
