Thanks guys....As Allen stated Slip.....my entire region is connected to the Atlantic Ocean via a small cut in the "barrier islands" called the Oregon Inlet...........we see more of an effect from wind tides than the moon tide cycle..........I have "never" caught a white crappie on the Albemarle Sound as they are not as compatible with the salinity as their cousin, the Black Crappie.........North Carolina has an abundance of productive crappie lakes where both species thrive.........I take advantage of wind shifts as often as I can which is significant to our "best" fishing days.....
