Tony, The tipping is what really stood out to me.  The colors looked female for sure, but I was thinking maybe because it's still cold out?

And ultimately I thought that the tab was large enough for a male.

But I wasn't sure, so I spoke up.  Good to hear the other opinions.

What I see:

Overall coloration.....looks female to me. however color is terribly unreliable.

Body dynamics....longer and slender, like a female.

Opercular flap.....small for a male of that size, more  rounded, typical of a female.

Black tipping on shoulder scales......a male characteristic.

 

My guess......female, or possible a cuckholder male.

I don't think that's a female.  I'm not 100%, but I've gotten a little bit better at this.  Does anyone else think it's a male?
