Do you love big bluegill?
Comment
The biggest Ive caught was about 9 in. but very thick. I haven't found the bedding area consistently, they must bed in deeper water than normal. I usually cast around cover with a small crank bait much like bass fishing. On the other hand the shell crackers are pretty good sized. Drop shooting night crawler pieces work well for me.
whats the top blue gill in this lake?
Nice!
JUST BEYOND THAT LOG YOU CAN SEE THE LEVEE AND IT DROPS TO 20FT. THERE ARE LOT OF DEPTH CHANGES IN THIS LAKE , OLD CREEKS , ROAD BEDS AND FENCE ROWS. MY DAD USED TO QUAIL HUNT THESE AREAS LONG BEFORE IT WAS FLOODED.
Where is the nearest deep water in this shot?
It was very hard to fish early on but its getting better some of the limbs are rotting off the trees.
BEAUTIFUL!!
