This one looks like a black spotted sunfish......I had bayous growing up in Louisiana full of spotted sunfish and warmouth......catch a few here in North Carolina but only a couple a year at best......Caught quite a few in coastal South Carolina over the years too.......one of my all time favorite fish dinners is to fillet a couple hundred spotted sunfish and fry them up crispy.........very delicious......
would like to find a river up here in NENJ that has them .Cool looking fish!
Tagged! These Spotted sunfish and Warmouth basically replace the Bluegills and Redbreast in the blackwater rivers of the South as the dominant sunfish. The Suwannee River is loaded with them!
Tag this pic Ben ,ya don't see too many pics of the Spotted Sunfish on here. I've never caught one .Good catch!
