Sure Tooty.......you may even be able to bring a pole....LOL......Yeah Carl.......I heard a lot of people wanting a strong winter until it got here and now the majority of them are over it........I think many folks are in trouble when this snow pack starts melting.......Good luck when you get out there!
hahahha jeff-- I usually tie up 5 or 6 rods in advance to buddy! it saves a lot of time; switching from one rod bait to the other to find what they want best. nice crappies to jeff;; now if I can get a break in the weather I just might try to get a couple myself!
THAT'S A LOT OF POLES JEFFREY !!!!! WILL THERE BE ROOM IN THE BOAT FOR ME? HHHHHHA HHHHHHHA
I'm still like a kid every year counting down.....I put new line on 22 telescopic poles last night.....all 10 and 12 footers that I carry with me......I usually pick five baits that I intend to try and rig them in advance.....so I set up 8 of the 12 footers for Crappie and a dozen or so 10 footers with my gill baits......I put my favorite bait on several poles in advance so that I can rapidly return to fishing if I'm broke off or tangled for any reason.......
GO GET EM JEFFREY !!!!!!!
Thanks Don......they are fun and make tasty tablefare......my bet is by the weekend of 3/15 I will start catching them shallow here in coastal North Carolina.....I have several "doodlesocking" rigs ready to go for spawning Speckles.....I shorten the line on a few of my telescopics and remove the float to allow me to fish the jig in cover without restrictions.......the crappie can't resist.......It was always around early March down in the Low Country of South Carolina for me........
Nice looking "paper-mouths", I love to catch those with a fly rod but it's a little tuff until they go shallow to spawn.
That shouldn't be too far away now..............Don in SC
