Thanks guys!  He is definitely hooked (pun intended).  We have a Cabela's by our house- he would rather go there than a toy store.  Bass Pro will be opening close by soon too- not sure what we will do with ourselves.

I grew up on the lake outside of Nashville and remember fishing around the docks for bluegill and anything else that would bite.  Just glad to be able to make the same memories with him that my father shared with me.  I came across this site actually by mistake.  My dad recently passed down an old alumacraft fd model that we have had in the family since the late 50s/early 60s to me.  I've been trying to figure out how I want to set it up and i think one of the  pictures I came across lead me to this site.  Some great info in here and look forward to being a part of the community.
