I like the color and sparkle in the dark swamp water for the sight sense......I believe the tipping puts most fish over the edge but on a great bite this past Monday I caught some very nice gills on the jig solo......The fish are slamming this bait not tapping at it....many fish had the entire jig in their mouth...very solid strikes.......
So, at what point does the hues of the jig become an attraction, drawing the gills to the real McCoy, at which point they commit and strike? Or, can the jig catch fish on it's own, unbaited?
Or...does the pink color stand out in the darker, tannin stained waters of this region and draw the inquisitive panfish and bass?
Just some thoughts...
