No Dave they don't call that being deaf they call that selective hearing at least that what my wife calls it even though the hearing doctor say I need a hearing aid in each ear.

Tony how right you our I call them my finesse baits. Back when I fished Bass all the time big baits were the norm but when the bite stopped guess what that's when you had to finesse them. So there is a time and place but don't quit know why.

Yeah Dick it's getting harder to tie the small stuff but mostly from my minor aches and pains and not as much as you might think from my eyes. My eyes are a factor but mostly secondary to the other ailments .

HEY TONY, YUP you are so right about the tiny baits . I do tie some smaller stuff , but since my eyes are getting bad and shoulders hurt none stop I mainly stick to what I've been making for years. They are small enough for me and others become an excersise in frustration for me. Ever hear of a SOW BUG? Great old pattern I used to tie with a #14 nymph hook. I have a buddy that fishes under docks with em for crappies and slams em in the spring.
The goose biot feelers in the back are hard to see now and it's a good thing I made em 50 of em years ago cause he ain't getting anymore till they come up with a solution for bad eyes, sore shoulders and back, and general impatience on my part!!!!!!!! Oh did  I mention deaf too? That is sometimes a good thing when the supervisor here is calling my name to see were I am in the house or down in the shop!!!!!!!!

I've mentioned here before how sold I am on a micro bait for Bluegills. Certainly there are times when a bigger bait/lure is what the fish want, but I find that a tiny offering produces some very good catches during times that other baits fail.

Still don't know how you can see to tie them micro's, great looking baits.

HEY ALL YA WONDERING WHAT SIR JEFFREY USED TODAY, I believe this is the pattern he used with some success and anyone who wants to make some the menu is listed with the pic. I know they don't look like much in the water that I've ever seen but they seem to work, at least for the last 12 years or so. I also have in my pics how to tie em , but the pics are buried on about my 8th page of pics I think.
This is the very first pic I posted on this site and took me a while to find it.
