nice ties Jim... and nice snap too!
Thanks for the recipe! I'll check out the lunar phase and see what I can pull off!
Dick-you could also use brass beads for a slower drop or shallow water.i am just partial to the tung beads because of the type of water i fish
not as small as they look Dick.sz 12 and i have simplified construction because my eyes are not too bad yet my hands just cant do what they used to.i usually use chenille on the bead head.so just simple winding.i dress the hooks on the popper before glueing the head on so i could probably tie one in a minute with everything ready to go
Oh yea Jim I can tell now this are specific flies for a specific fish on a specific day at a specific time can't be anymore specific than that. GOOOOOOOOD one.
sorry jim these flies are only to be fished on the full moon.the hooks have been super magnetized so they will only fish N-S following the earths polarity.they are kept chained in a special pine box and will stay there until may 4th.the silver bullet is sz12 sproat or standard wet or dry.i like to use dry fly hooks on my wets just because of the light wire.3mm silver tung bead.gray UV ice dub a grizz hackle and white egg yarn for the tail blob.the hooks are magnetic.have to see if that popper will float N-S
Good ties Jim way to small for me to attempt the old eye limit what I would love to attempt.
I like these! Can I copy that Silver Bullet?
i will be throwing these flies in known spawning areas may 4th and june 3rd.may may not pan out as the water may only be in the 50s after this winter.i am calling these the werewolf and silver bullet.i am confident i will get a fish on the first cast on either of these flies,at least in june.i feel we wont have a crappie spawn til may this year.
