i scan my change for silver.i heard copper pennies will be worth a lot if they stop using them just in scrap.have found some silver canadian dimes lately.people must over look em.i use the metal detector when we shoot our bows.good arrows are 5dollars plus a piece.i shoot recurves so i use aluminum arrows.i live on whats left of an old farm and all i find is junk.

That IS weird - a Wheat Cent in your pocket change.

I can tell you its been in circulation for a bit or someone has been rubbing it with a pencil eraser. I've been a coin collector and metal detectorist for years - that highlighting comes from few others things.

When I was a kid, working cash registers at a fast food joint, I would catch on average, one Wheat penny / week, and one silver dime / month.  Don't ask about the stash I had when I was actively using a metal detector.....

"Senyo Shaggy Dub" - -

Where do you get all these wonderful goodies!?

Comment by jim cosgrove on February 6, 2014 at 4:07pm

i will tank test them allan.i have made these with the smaller bead and i think they rode nose down a bit.the right one is a 3mm and the left a 3.5.this does not seem to jive but i dont have a caliper to check.just going by the size on the packs.i am hoping the bigger one will stand up as i want to bottom fish it for redears in a couple quarries.the tail is senyo shaggy dub.they are little silicone filaments.kind of unruly to work with but they sure do wiggle.david, the beads are put on straight pins.i wish i could mold tungsten.they do have it in powder form for golf clubs.hmmm

Jim, have you tank-tested these?  With the weight in front of the tie-in point, does it hang nose-down in the water column?  Or does it swim level?

This can be mistaken for tubifex worms if it hands like that on the bottom. Great make.
