Good observation Jeff ! He stayed that way for a good length of time and I have a video of the wings spreading and vibrating before takeoff . I'll try to upload it today. It flew off over the stream slowly and an Eastern Kingbird attacked but missed in mid air . I also have a video posted here of this species DF releasing eggs in the water . The time before at this spot a Mink was strolling down the Bank with what i think was a Crayfish in it's mouth . I have seen several cool Nature scenes here at this spot through the Years .
