Doc Broke a Mitchell Graphite Spinning Pole on a Huge Alligator Gar on the Little River....4/6/2014
I was staged and ready to take some action shots when Doc's pole snapped and subsequently the jig straightened out.....This fish was introduced to my landing net but at 48" she was way too big and slid right out......I've caught Alligator gars over 125 pounds down in Louisiana but hadn't seen one on this river yet.....We were disappointed but at least we saw what it was......It had just come out of the net when I took this picture.....pole broke seconds after this shot......

This would have been the biggest fish to enter the chariot last year but my friend's pole snapped right after we had about half of this fish in my undersized net.........she was every bit if 48"...........
