It keeps you alert for sure Greg. In these waters you're being watched 100% of the time. You find them closing in when you're catching fish because of the increased noise of splashing, etc. I don't mind because it adds to the outdoor experience. Thanks for the comment.

Jeff, I am not sure I want is a boat on these waters!!!!!! Large toothy swimming lizards can have it!!!!!!

Will not catch me in a Float Tube or a Kayak in these areas. Great Bluegill fishing in Coastal South Carolina but every body of water seems to have several gators if not more. There are dozens of big gators in the Western branch of the Cooper River and associated creeks. It is cool that they have made such a comeback over the years. Adds excitement to the fishing trip for sure!
