Vince- that is Poly Yarn for the wings,but im sure deer hair will work.

Thanks - guys its much appreciated to know that I'm inproving and hopefully will reach my goal for when I make the move to the UP.

Jeff - I will see what I can do on the brown/yellow cricket and I think those should be a little smaller. Maybe tan will do the trick. If they look good I will send you some.. what size hook Jeff? the black ones are on a size 10.

These are great!  These look like the black "Field Cricket", can you the up some of the brownish/yellow "House Crickets"?  (We use them as our favorite BG bait here in So Cal).  So I assume that that is a closed-cell floating foam?
