Haha, no need to worry about ME being "too intelligent " Dick .
John don't get to intelligent on us we won't be able to understand you don't worry about what Carl says always be one in himself grasshopper..
Gonna have to start being more mature 'round here then Carl ! Maybe act more intelligent too! LOL!
your 60 years old?? all I can say is-- dang KID!! LOL but you sure know how to catch them john!! even if you are a kid- LOL!!
Another nice fish, way to catch em.
I know what you mean John. My buddy and I will both be 64 this year. I still miss ice fishing even after being here in GA since '86, except for one winter Northern MO. I never had a big boat growing up, and could not get to all the good spots on the Mississippi river during the open water times of the year. Ice fishing put everyone on the same playing field.
Thanks Ken and congrats again on your White Bass award! Got a 14" Crappie from my home lake last year on a spin jig but it's the biggest I've gotten since the 16 and 16.5 I got in the 1980's from another lake . I am hoping my home lake is gonna see them reach that size but I'd be surprised if they did .The bigger fish came from a bigger lake with way more weed structure and more natural and better conditions .I really enjoy jigging these up as opposed to getting them on a set line.
Nice looking crappie John... i haven't hit the 14" barrier yet in years
I hear ya Vince I'm 60 years old now ! Wish you could fish this spot with me .
Sounds like a great honey hole, John. I remember as a kid laughing when one of us fell on the ice, and at the "old men" who wore ice creepers. Last year my buddy from IA reminded me of this, and said "we must be getting old" since he bought a pair of creepers for himself and will not go on the ice without them. A fall now could be serious, and these are a great tool to keep your backside off the ice
