Hey Slip......like most things, crabs are better fresh........these crabs were harvested Saturday and cooked Sunday for an initial feast......the last couple days I have prepped a few to go into Seafoood gumbo whole and the rest picked for dishes like crab cakes......deviled crab.......crab dip........stuffed shrimp/flounder and many other great dishes.........frozen crab meat works good for these dishes but only holds about six months in the freezer for best results in my opinion......
